Publication of my book - May 6th and other Events!

Presentation at the Indiana Historical Society

Excited to share the many activities related to my book that occured in May:

1) Official Publication occured on May 6th - and that started to allow downloads of the eBook, plus the delivery of all pre-ordered hardcover books. If you want to purchase - links to 4 different online stores are on the left margin of each website page.

2) The auction house, Bonhams - actually reached out to me to get my "input" on an Amalia kussner miniature she painted while working at Tiffany's - and this auction also started May 6th (crazy coincidence - the date of my book launch!). This minaiture - is a beatifully done portrait of an "unknown" man, sporting a dominant white mustache and goatee. But more impressive is the fact that the miniature is framed in a diamond and platinum frame! (link here)

3) Author Pam Toler,  provided a "written" intervew with me in her blog called History in the Margins (link here) where I answered a series of question from her on my book. Pam came out with a fascinating biography about a WW2 woman correspondent - Sigrid Schultz (see at her website).

4) Around May 8th - interview from ArtNet online magazine, with thier Editor, Katie White (link here).

5) I was on a "whirlwind" Book Tour in Indiana - all events were quite successful! See details at my Events page. Speaking of "whirlwind" - the night I was in Terre Haute, IN - there was a tornado nearby but we were OK. In fact my books signing closed down early to get folks to safety.

For events in June/July - refer to the Events page

The great thing about your book being officially published is that you can claim to be a publisehd (not a to be publisehd) author! And as a first time author - the honor and thrill has yet to wear off!
