The biography on Amalia Kussner, "The Miniature Painter Revealed", has been a goal of mine since I started in-depth research of her 5 years ago. I had actually grown up around her portrait miniatures in my grandmother's home, and learned just a few facts about her. While doing extensive online research, there was so much more to learn about her and with time and I knew I had enough material for a biography. As I started writing, I was fortunate to find never before seen images of her professional and personal life. She interacted with a veritable Who's Who of the Gilded Age, and her star shined bright from around 1893 to 1911.

I have been a freelance writer and my work has been published in regional New England publications such as Boston Magazine and various newspapers. I have also done historical research for state agencies and universities. I am the host of People Hidden in History, a podcast series that highlights fascinating people in the arts and politics who are unknown to the general public. I have been a speaker at museums, historical societies, libraries, the New York Adventure Club, and History Camp - frequently presenting on Amalia Kussner.
